How the association is governed
The association is directed by an elected volunteer board — chairperson, secretary, treasurer and committee members — chosen by the membership at the General Assembly in accordance with our statutes and Cypriot association law. Board members serve without remuneration.
The General Assembly of members is the highest decision-making body. It approves the annual activity plan, reviews the treasurer's financial report, and elects the board for its term. Minutes of assemblies and decisions are kept on file at our registered address.
All income — membership subscriptions, donations and occasional grants — is used solely for conservation activities and the association's running costs. No part of our funds is distributed as profit to members, officers or third parties.
Transparency & accountability commitments
- · Annual financial statements are prepared and presented to the General Assembly.
- · Activity reports describing completed programs are shared with members each year.
- · Field activities are coordinated with the relevant Cypriot environmental and forestry authorities.
- · We do not sell, rent or monetize personal data of members, volunteers or website visitors.
- · Any member of the public may request clarification of our activities by writing to our official email.
